Vandana carries 23 years of rich experience in the field of disability. She started Mbcn charitable school for children with special needs in 1999 with 20 children. Today there are 1000 beneficiaries in the same.This school is Fully committed and dedicated to the rehabilitation of children with mental retardation, cerebral palsy, physical infirmities, seizures, autism, visual and hearing impairments and multiple disabilities.

Due to the exemplary services towards the special section of children in the society, the school has been awarded the DEROZIO award by the Governor of West Bengal for its exemplary contribution in the field of special education. She has been awarded as “women achiever-2016” by Amity university on women’s day.

She is a trained special educator from ‘National Institute for Mentally Handicapped’ (Ministry of social justice, Govt. of India). She topped in the batch of 1994.She has graduated from University of Delhi in 1993 and  did her post-graduation and Ph.D  in Psychology. Significance of the her study for  extends to the parents in helping them to adopt effective strategies for coping and dealing efficiently with their psychological problems .She enhanced and upgraded her professional knowledge by doing Certificate course in Professional Practice – ‘Aspects of Learning Difficulties for Children and Young People with Disabilities’ from ‘Amar Jyoti -Delhi’ in collaboration with ‘Roehampton University, London’ in 2008.

Vandana is a member of State Program Committee of Special Olympic, Delhi’ and also working as a consultant to Genesis Global School, Noida for including children with special needs in to mainstreamShe was honoured with woman achiever award by Amity University in 2016 for her exemplary services for disability and rehabilitation.
