2nd Preparatory Camp
for the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games to be held at Bits Pilani
Rajasthan from 19th – 24th June 2018
The preparatory camp which will conduct appx.in 13 sports at the BITS Pilani campus ,
Rajasthan .(Birla Institute Technology & Science)
Athletes from the 26 states
apppx450 Athletes , Coaches will
be training in preparations for the world games to be held at Abudhabi
The training will be conducted from 6.00a.m to 9.00a.m and
4.30p.m to 7.00p.m . The coaches will also be under going special training in preparation to train the athletes under
sports specific selectors who are camping at the campus .
The whole team of Special Olympics Bharat with the National Sports Director Mr. Victor
Vazand the team members Ms. Rochelle (Sr
Manager Healthy Athletes and Ms. SulekhaRana (Sr. Manager Dev.organisational ) have camped at Bits
Pilani to ensure the success of the Camp .
Mr. U.K. Pandey , Area Director Rajasthan is the camp In charge
working on all the logistic .required for the success of the event.
The following are the sports disciplines Aquatics, Athletics,
Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Handball, Judo, Roller Skating, Table Tennis,
Volley Ball, Power lifting, Unified football (7 –a-side Male & Female;
11-a-side Male) , Futsal (Female)
To enhance the athlete performance medical screening is being
conducted in the field of FitFeet 8Physiotherapists
and 10 Non Clinical Volunteers and Special smiles 9 Dentists and 9 Non Clinical
Volunteers will conduct the dental
screening
